This short off-the-beaten-paths trekking journey superbly blends the magnificence of the region providing you an unreal experience with the natural supremacy.
The Annapurna Community Trek starts from the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara- one of the most famous cities not only of the Annapurna region but in the whole of Nepal. From Pokhara, the trekking trail winds through amazing settlements and villages of the region like Tikhedhunga and Ghorepani. Although the Annapurna Community Trek follows the same initial path as the ABC Trek, it diverts away from the mainstream destinations after the village of Ghorepani to reach Mohare Danda and hidden villages like Nangi, Banskharka, and Galeshwor. Trekkers are presented with amazing views of the Annapurna peaks and of the deep river valley from Mohare Danda. The views of mountains like the Annapurna massif, Machhapuchhre, Nilgiri (7061m), Hiunchuli (6441m) and Dhaulagiri (8167m) among many others from the Mohare Hill are simply unprecedented. Moreover, the trail also meanders through the relatively untouched terrains of the region. The lush woodlands and the rhododendron forests of the elevated landscape present the most wonderful natural canopies for trekkers to go through. The Annapurna Community Trek to Mohare Danda is an easy trekking journey running through numerous Gurung villages where you can experience the local hospitality with a great many traces of Himalayan ambiance. Anyone can do the trip with relative ease; no previous experience of trekking is required at all. Similarly, the best times to do the trip are during the months of March to May and from September to December.
