Chitwan Jungle Safari Tour, 4 days and 3 nights package tour

Chitwan National Park lies in the southern Terai belt of Nepal, which is in an easy access from Kathmandu (160km, 5 hrs). It spreads over an area of 932 sq km. The park maintains three types of vegetation – grassland (20%), Riverine Forest (10%) and Shorea robusta (70%). The park is abundant with animals such as One-Horned Rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tiger, Wild Boar, Gaur, Wild Elephant, spotted Deer, Sambar, Sloth Bear, Leopard, Rhesus and Langoor monkeys, Gharial and Marsh Muggers and many other mammals, reptiles and amphibians. The park also maintains over 460 species of birds including Bengal Frolics, Giant Hornbill, Kingfishers, Egrets etc.

Day 1

On Your arrival at Chitrasari, Tadi or Bharatpur Airport our staff will pick up you. You will then be transferred to our Lodge. Our staff will brief your itinerary according to program.
13.00 : Lunch.
15.00 : Village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village, you will learn about Tharu ethnic life style & culture. Evening visit Sun set view place from the bank of Rapti River.
19.00 : Tharu cultural dance show.
20.00 : Dinner.

Day 2

06.00 : Wake up call.Followed by tea / coffee
06.30 : Breakfast.
07.00 : Canoe ride along the Rapti River. An great opportunity for Bird Watching and for seeing the 2 rare species of crocodiles; the Marsh Mugger and the fish eating Gharial. + Jungle Walk + on the way back one can enjoy the elephant bathing.
13.00 : Lunch
15.00 : Elephant Safari. An excellent opportunity to see four different kinds of deer, rhinoceros, wild bore, monkey, leopard, sloth bear and the Royal Bengal Tiger (If you are very very lucky).
19.00 : Tharu cultural dance show presentation.
20.00 : Dinner

Day 3

06.30 : Wake up call. Followed by tea / coffee
07.00 : Breakfast.
07.45 : Visit to the Government Elephant Breeding Centre
13.00 : Lunch
14.00 : Jeep Drive at Twenty Thousand Lake or Elephant Safari
20.00 : Dinner

Day 4

07.00 : Wake up call.Followed by tea / coffee
08.00 : Breakfast.
09.30 : Departure to your own destination or Kathmandu, Pokhara.

The temperature here can range from extremely hot (37-40C) in the lower Terai regions, to negative temperatures in the northern, mountainous regions. Feb-May & Sept-Nov are prime trekking times due to the lovely climate. There is ample sun in the day time, and only slightly chilly at night. Monsoon (June-Aug) can get very hot and humid-with showers usually in the early morning and late afternoon.
