Bardia National Park

Bardia National Park, spreading over a 968sq km is situated in the mid-Far West of the Terai region.This park is the wildest and most undisturbed wilderness area in the Terai region. The chance of seeing the Tigers is reported to be more in this park. The park contains 70% of Shorea Robusta and the remaining 30% are grasslands, Savannah and Riverine woods. The park is abundant with endangered animals like the one-horned Rhinoceros, Tiger, Black Buck, Wild Elephant, Wild Boar, Hog Deer, Blue Bull, Porcupine, Sloth Bear, Wild Dog, Mongoose, Civets, Rhesus Monkey, Barking deer, Sambhar, Hyena, Leopard etc. The park also consists of different species of residential and migratory birds. Birds like the Great Crested Grebe, Pochards, Mallard, Teals, Merganser, Pheasants etc.

Kathmandu - Bardia National Park
Drive 9-10 Hours to Ambasha on east-west highway then transfer to the Lodge . About 5 am start to drive from Kathmandu. You will then be transferred to our Lodge where you will be offered refreshment & be given a briefing on our lodge & its facilities. After being given your programmes for the day, your room will then be allocated to you.
15:00 : Village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn more about the life and Lifestyle of the Tharus.
20:00 : Dinner

06:30 : Breakfast
07:30 : Elephant Ride. (For an Hour) An excellent opportunity to get the lifetime experience on the Elephant Back and to see the Wildlife of The Park. Visit to Visitor Center, Crocodile Breeding Center & Tharu Cultural Museum.
13:00 : Lunch
15.00 : Jungle Walk. An excellent opportunity to see the wild animals, small mammals, birds and waits in the Tower (Machan) to have the wild sightseeing, accompanied by our experienced naturalists and wild life tracker. Excellent photographic opportunities are plentiful.
20:00 : Dinner

07:00 : Drive to your own Destination.

Nepal is an extremely diverse country for its size. The temperature here can range from extremely hot (37-40C) in the lower Terai regions, to negative temperatures in the northern, mountainous regions. Feb-May & Sept-Nov are prime trekking times due to the lovely climate. There is ample sun in the day time, and only slightly chilly at night. Monsoon (June-Aug) can get very hot and humid-with showers usually in the early morning and late afternoon.
